Andy Reed last week played alongside his former parliamentary colleagues in a charity football game at QPR to celebrate 50 years of the Lobby football team.
Reed was invited by Ed Balls (captain) to join the line up…which included newly elected Mayors - Sadiq Khan, Andy Burnham, Steve Rotherham, Former MPs David Miliband, Jim Murphy, James Purnell and current MPs Stephen Kinnock Ben Bradley, Huw Merrimack and Justin Madders as well as old timers and staffers like Andy!
The game against the press lobby at conference usually has a bit of niggle but the game was competitive and fair with the press running out 4-1 winners. Over £50k was raised for the SportsAid charity.
